About Us

From One Dog Mum’s Journey to a Community Movement

Hi, I’m Izzy — founder of Furribe and proud paw-rent to my pup, Minnie.

My journey with Furribe began the day I decided to leave my finance career and adopted my dog, Minnie — a decision filled with joy, fear, hope, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Like every first-time parent, I was nervous. Lots of people told me it would be hard. And they were right — at first. The flood of advice online was overwhelming, often conflicting, and left me more confused than reassured.

What saved me was community. I was lucky to have friends who were also dog parents — my ultimate source of guidance. They pointed me toward trusted sitters, walkers, trainers, and groomers, and reminded me that raising a dog should be joyful, not lonely.

That experience lit a spark: if I was so dependent on the community, what about the people who didn’t have one?

That’s why I started Furribe.

Furribe isn’t just a brand — it’s a tribe for dog parents, their pups, and dog lovers who are thinking about taking their first step into dog parenting. A place where advice is shared, experiences are celebrated, and challenges are faced together. Because in big cities like London, it can feel like there’s no time, no space, and too many responsibilities. We want to change that.

At the heart of Furribe are our 3 Cs, Community, Connection & Care — the values we live by.

Every person deserves to experience the unconditional love dogs bring into our lives. And no one should feel they can’t be a dog parent because of their job, lifestyle, or lack of guidance.

Together, we are not building a brand.
We are building a tribe.

Meet Minnie

Furribe was inspired by Minnie, a rescue pup who came into the life of our founder, Izzy, in September 2023. Born on the 14th of that month, Minnie was almost 10 months old when she joined Izzy’s family — underweight, ungroomed, and unfamiliar with even the basics of being a dog. She had never been walked on a leash, had never been properly groomed, and was still eating puppy food that no longer met her needs.

When she first arrived, Minnie was frightened of everything: loud noises, sudden movements, even climbing the stairs. Those first weeks were filled with nervous wiggles and hesitant steps. But with patience, training, and love, she slowly began to trust the world around her. Step by step, she learned to walk outdoors, climb the stairs, and explore with curiosity.

Today, Minnie is thriving — healthier, happier, and more confident. She eats homemade, nutritious food, enjoys daily walks, and continues to grow braver every day.

Minnie’s journey is at the heart of Furribe. Her journey is a reminder that dogs need more than food and shelter — they need patience, guidance, care, and community to truly thrive.

Minnie’s story is at the heart of Furribe — bringing dog parents, dog lovers, and experts together to support one another and give every pup the best chance to thrive.
